A friend’s character for an RP about Japanese high school gangs. Drawn from her reference doll.
Still trying out how this style feels, like riding a bike for the first time. Fun and somewhat wibbly wobbly.
Purchased Mr. Kyle Webster’s brushes for five bucks and decided to test them out.
Pretty smooth, gave the kind of look I want but animals are still difficult as hell to draw. Was on a Wicked kick and saw the animated storyboard that Heidi Jo Gilbert did for an animated Wicked concept and thought the flying monkeys would be so much more terrifying as a swarm of these tiny finger monkeys (pygmy marmosets).
Chanchan! The fairy-fighting pokemon! If there were magical girls in Pokemon…

Still kinda sorta terrified of using photoshop. “I just want to know how everything works already!” cried every artist in history.
Fun to experiment though, give or take some weird shit like “Step Backwards” working like how I expected “Undo Brushstroke” to but didn’t (it only goes back one step, the fuck?)
Speed painted some birds in Painter and made them chirp my favorite curse words.
I finally paid attention to the credits during Adventure Time and saw that Ako Castuera works on the show. So I did my daily doodle based on it.
Cactus Girl belongs to Ako Castuera
Marceline the Vampire Queen belongs to Pendleton Ward.
… In case it wasn’t clear as day seen through a crystal encased in glass.

So I tried out lineless style. Fuckin’ awful in the beginning stages, I should try freehanding next time.
